New GAA Gym – Now Open
We are delighted to announce that the new GAA Gym is now officially open to Players & members with Gym Membership.
Firstly, we would like to sincerely thank everyone for their patience while the remaining works were completed. A huge debt of gratitude is owed to the many volunteers who gave their time and effort to help bring the gym to completion — their commitment to the club is greatly appreciated.
Gym Access
• The gym will be accessible daily from 7:00am to 10:00pm.
• Access is currently controlled via the Lockbox key.
• This arrangement is temporary and will remain in place until the new automated entry system is fully activated.
• Everyone using the Gym outside of collective team sessions needs to log access in the logbook.
Team & Collective Sessions
• Collective team gym sessions will generally take place on weekdays between 6:00pm and 9:00pm, pending the finalisation of a definitive schedule over the coming weeks.
• These sessions will be managed through a booking system, like the one currently used for the Astro facilities.
• Further details on scheduling and bookings will be communicated shortly.
Gym Etiquette & Member Responsibilities
To ensure the gym remains a safe, respectful, and enjoyable space for all members, we ask that everyone observes the following etiquette:
• Respect booked times: Please vacate the gym promptly if a team or group session is scheduled to begin.
• Clean equipment after use: Wipe down benches, machines, and mats after each session.
• Return equipment: All weights, bars, and accessories should be returned to their designated storage areas.
• Share the space: Be mindful of other users, especially during busy periods.
• Appropriate behaviour: No unnecessary noise, misuse of equipment, or unauthorised access for non-members.
• Safety first: Use equipment correctly and report any faults or damage to the committee immediately.
• U18s not permitted outside Supervised collective sessions
• No Food or Ball games allowed in the Gym. Hurleys to be left outside.
• Full Rules and guidelines will be published on Clubzap Shortly
We look forward to seeing all players and members make full use of this excellent new facility and thank you all again for your continued support and cooperation.
