BALLINHASSIG CUL CAMP - CALLING ALL COACHES/VOLUNTEERS
Ballinhassig Cul Camp is scheduled to take place this year from August 12th - 16th (5 days) from 10am - 2pm. We had a hugely successful camp last year thanks to the tremendous support and cooperation from you all. Just like last year, we need to make sure we have a sufficient number of people available to help again this year (Ratio of 1 Coach:10 kids).
Ballinhassig Underage, Camogie and Ladies football associations have again joined forces and are seeking names of coaches/assistant coaches and volunteers who have some availability for that week and who are willing to give their time.
Coaches must be 18+, Garda vetted, with foundation course & child welfare/protection courses completed.
We would also appeal to Minors and students to help out as Assistant Coaches. The help from these fantastic young people last year was immense and allowed us to run the activities smoothly ensuring we had plenty of help each day. So please offer your time if possible and earn a few euro in the process (16-17 year olds at time of camp must be Garda vetted).
The successful running of the camp will again rely massively on volunteer participation from parents. We need all parents who have registered a child/children on the camp to give a minimum of 1 day's help. We would be delighted if you could volunteer more than this.
Without the correct coach to child ratio, we will be unable to satisfy the Cul Camp requirements and our camp will not be allowed to proceed!
All Garda Vetting is now done online via Foireann. Further information and particulars regarding Foundation courses/Child safeguarding can also be shared if needed.
