Welcome to the Ballinhassig GAA club website. Through this website we will keep you updated on results, fixtures and analysis of games for the adult, under-age and camogie clubs. The social aspect of our Club is very important to us and we will keep you informed of upcoming events.
Ballinhassig G.A.A. Club based in the village of Ballinhassig situated to the south of Cork city is a club with a long and illustrious history. Since the Club was founded in 1886 winning 3 Junior and 3 Intermediate Cork hurling county titles have been annexed by the club in its history along with a record haul of 25 South East hurling titles. We are currently operating at the Premier Intermediate Hurling grade in the Cork County Championship and at Junior ‘A’ level in football and field teams at multiple other levels. The club is a member of Carrigdhoun division of Cork G.A.A.
Ballinhassig also have a proud history of providing players to various Cork teams down through the years including the fabled 4-in-a-row team of the 1940’s and the 3-in-a-row team of the 1970’s.
Straddling the banks of the Owenabue river, the villages of Ballinhassig and Half Way are widely known throughout Cork and even further afield with records of hurling here dating back to the very foundation of the GAA and beyond.
Our Club colours are Royal Blue and White and we are affectionately known as The Blues.
